The TaqMan OpenArray Human Cancer Panel is an efficient, easy-to-use OpenArray plate for the characterization of undifferentiated cancers or their differentiated derivatives. This gene signature panel targets 624 well-defined genes validated as markers for pluripotency, plus 24 endogenous control genes. The format of the OpenArray plate allows for 1–4 replicates to be run in parallel per plate.The TaqMan OpenArray Human Cancer Panel targets genes related to DNA repair, angiogenesis, cell adhesion, and ECM, as well as genes involved in the cell cycle and apoptosis, and many of the genes encoding kinases and transcription factors that have been found to be differentially expressed in early cancer and metastatic disease. In addition, 24 endogenous control genes are included against which the assays can be normalized. All assays in this panel were developed using a high level of bioinformatics and wet-lab stringency.The plate is pre-formatted and inventoried, cost-effective, convenient, and easy-to-use, without the need for expensive robotics. Results are reproducible and consistent across samples, studies, and labs—for the same data quality from plate-to-plate and lot-to-lot, even with different operators.This panel is intended for use with the QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-time PCR system which can cycle and image 4 pates simultaneously, providing high-throughput results with ease.
